Grupo El Fuerte opens its ‘Por amor al arte’ (For the love of art) exhibition to celebrate the chain’s 50th birthday
The Marbellan painter Ricardo Alario exhibits his work ‘Primigenio’
Grupo El Fuerte opened the professional and amateur exhibition, ‘For the Love of Art’, to mark its 50th birthday. The display, which can be visited from the 5th of October at the Fuerte Museum and in the Ensenada and Marbella Halls, will be open to the public until the 26th of October.
The amateur exhibition entitled ’Miradas’ (Glances), is by well-known artistically skilled doctors, business-people and managers. On the 30th of October, an expert Art jury will officially name the winning artist.
‘For the Love of Art’ is one of the cultural activities linked to the celebration of Grupo El Fuerte’s 50th Birthday and comes within a new drive from professionals from different areas, striving for better quality and diffusion of cultural events in Marbella.
The professional exhibition is by the Marbellan painter Ricardo Alario, who will be exhibiting his work entitled ‘Primigenio’. The display represents the first vestiges of primitive societies and how these origins have evolved in art throughout the ages. According to Ricardo Alario, “It also aims to represent the human capacity for being amazed by beauty, colours and shapes as the beginning of all subsequent creation”.
Ricardo Alario began painting in Marbella under the tutelage of the painter San Juan Perdiguero and attended the School of Arts and Trades at Seville and Granada. In 2003 he was named Director of the Silvart Gallery where he has co-ordinated several engraving workshops using the latest techniques, and trained many young artists who have gone on to obtain degrees in Fine Arts. He has also shown great creativity as a graphic designer and muralist.
